At BhoomiTech Heritage and Development Foundation, our flagship Community Digital Ecology Program (CDEP) works at the intersection of cultural preservation and technology. Designed specifically for minor ethnic and indigenous communities across hyper-diverse regions like North East India, CDEP creates free, self-sustaining digital tools to help communities archive, protect, and develop their living heritage across 11 key cultural domains—from endangered languages and traditional medicine to customary land systems.

To deploy and sustain these decentralized digital ecosystems without imposing external management, strategic partnerships are crucial. Collaborations provide essential funding for field research, custom tool engineering, and the procurement of digital infrastructure—such as field recorders, tablets, and localized servers—ensuring even remote villages have the hardware needed to document their oral histories, customary laws, and traditional knowledge safely.
Beyond financial and technical support, our partners play a vital role in ground mobilization and community empowerment. Through dedicated funding for workshops and digital bootcamps, collaborating agencies help train local youth and elders to manage their own archives independently. Field partners and community-based organizations bridge communication gaps, foster trust, and ensure that all engagement respects local values, traditional governance, and ethical consent.
Our partnership network brings together a diverse ecosystem of contributors—including Business and CSR Partners for scalable funding, Academic Institutions for research and intellectual property protection, Grassroots NGOs for community engagement, and Tech Collaborators for platform infrastructure. Together, we ensure that rapid modernization does not require cultural loss, but instead strengthens the agency and pride of indigenous communities.
